At the invitation of Mr. Jung - Sik Koh,the Commissioner of the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO), aDelegation of the National Office of Intellectual Property of Viet Nam led bythe Director General Tran Viet Hung, has paid an official visit to the Republic of Korea from March 19 to 22, 2010. TheDelegation was warmly welcomed and received by the host.

  

The Head Meeting between KIPO and NOIP was held on March 19 to reviewimplemented cooperative activities; discuss and elaborate the bilateralco-operation in 2010; exchange information on recent developments of nationalintellectual property systems of each country. Both sides were pleased towitness the development and the achievements of the bilateral cooperation tiesso far. 

 

The Head Meeting was ended by the signingof a Record of Discussion (ROD) on co-operative activities in 2010 between thetwo Offices. In accordance with the signed ROD, KIPO will provide training toNOIP examiners; will cooperate with NOIP to organize seminars on national IPsystem of Viet Nam forKorean enterprises operating in Viet Nam; and NOIP will provide necessary supportto KIPO for the establishment and operation of its IP-Desk in Ha Noi.
