In terms of international cooperation activities, IP Viet Nam has actively participated in ASEAN Trademark Working Group to harmonize legal frameworks within the region, coordinated with IP offices of other countries to organize trademark seminars, workshops, and training courses, and had its staff learn and share experiences to improve professional qualifications, etc.
International cooperation projects were continually implemented to improve the capacity of IP Viet Nam, including the JICA Project on Strengthening Industrial Property Examination Capacity of IP Viet Nam. Accordingly, the project has supported IP Viet Nam on improving management methods, developing quality control documentation, and enhancing trademark examination skills, with the initial phase related to trademarks already completed. Upon completion, the project is expected to significantly improve the efficiency of trademark application processing, both in terms of time and examination quality.
Overcoming significant challenges to achieve remarkable results in trademark application processing in 2024 provides a basis for the IP Viet Nam to accelerate trademark application processing in 2025.
