Revised Regulation to Fulfill the Agreement Recognizing the Japan Patent Office as the International Searching and Preliminary Examination Authority
On March 09, 2017, the National Office of Intellectual Property (NOIP) and the Japan Patent Office (JPO) approved the Revised Regulation to Fulfil the Agreement Recognizing JPO as the International Searching and Preliminary Examination Authority (Revised Regulation for short) signed on July 01, 2012.
Essentially, the Revised Regulation amends the following contents to the previous Regulation in 2012:
- Update JPO’s account information;
- Retain the ability of using the transmission procedure of electronic application if NOIP accept and satisfy all requirements of this mechanism in the future.
NOIP would like to inform all relevant individuals and agencies./.
